What disturbs me the most is that I read that i preach on stage, that we are demago. I didn't join this band to give lessons. We use the live to extrapolate our ideas, to explain the songs meaning. These are not just following notes or empty chorus. The shows are exchanges. Opportunities for us to express ourselves. . This is why we will tell the kids to stop using the word "faggots" between them . The sexuality of each other shouldn't be derogatory or demeaning. We also want to react when we see girls parked in the back of the room while the guys are bumping to each other in the pit. We don't want machismo crap on our music. Same when we see kids being mugged in the pit or upset by others, we don't hesitate to stop the show. This is not the kind of show I would like to go and this is not the kind of show I want to see my band having. If that is preached, fuck it! Too bad for the disgruntled.

but actually going to see this band live was brutal for me mainly because of the inbetween song banter about politics that justin sane thinks he knows a whole lot about

I'm not a huge fan of the new album (but I do like "Shadow of the Dead" a lot). Every song has at least one really great part, but a lot of the songs seem to drag on. That being said, I love the rest of their work---and I think it's a tie between The Terror State and Underground Network for best album.

But I do love them live. Last time I saw them was in December at the Chameleon Club in Lancaster, PA with Bomb the Music Industry!---very small venue (recently expanded, though), no barriers, and it was great, I was leaning on the stage and monitors the whole time. I think it was their last show for the year, and in the middle of "Fuck Police Brutality" they threw in NWA's "Fuck the Police." And when they played "Cities Burn," they changed "Whoooa ohh oh oh, we're coming back around" to "Hooooo, ho ho ho, santa claus is coming to town." It was the first time I had ever seen them NOT be serious live.

Ugh, you bastards overseas. They're playing The Lockup stage, and you can vote online for any song of theirs you want them to play. One day I want to go to Reading and Leeds..it sounds awesome.
